Hiking
The opportunity to get out into the woods, a national park, or a backyard is a right everyone has. Northeast Passage makes this possible for people with physical disabilities with the use of adaptive equipment and current adaptive techniques. From nature walks in wooded parks, to challenging team hikes, Northeast Passage’s Adaptive Hiking program allows participants the opportunity to enjoy a range of hiking options. Northeast Passage has a large collection of outdoor access equipment for participants to utilize. NEP has assisted numerous hikers on the east and west coasts of the country to get out in the woods.
Northeast Passage has turned hiking into a team sport! In recent years, NEP has taken on two of New Hampshire’s most challenging mountains (Lafayette and Mt. Galehead). Hiking with NEP (on more difficult trails) becomes a team initiative, bonding a group to the equipment, and having equal participation by all involved. Northeast Passage continues to offer these types of challenging experiences and everything in between.
