The Three Notch Century will challenge cyclists to conquer 100 miles
in one, two or three days. All options are appropriate
for bicyclists and handcyclists. The routes are the
same…taking participants on a challenging and scenic ride through
the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Cyclists will begin at Loon
Mountain in Lincoln, NH and ride through Franconia Notch, Crawford
Notch and over the Kancamagus Highway.
Come join the fun and participate in a unique and beautiful 100 mile challenge!
3 day Registration & Itinerary: Participants will meet
at Loon Mountain on Friday, Sept. 5 and will cover 100 miles over
3 days. Beginning at Loon, day one will cover 35 miles through Franconia
Notch and will end at the AMC Highland Center. On day two, the team
will descend through Crawford Notch and into North Conway, covering
25 miles and staying at the North Conway Grand Hotel in North Conway.
Day three will cover a grueling 38 miles up and over the Kancamagus
Pass, just below tree line, then descend and finish back at Loon Mountain.
Sections of the route will be on dedicated bike paths and other sections
will be on major roads. Van support will be available; however rider
level should coincide with mileage and terrain to be covered. The
cost for the three day ride is $300 . Participants can fundraise
or pay this cost out of pocket. Participants are also encouraged to
raise additional funds to support Northeast Passage’s adaptive
sports programs. Registration for the three day ride is available

2 day Registration (Sept. 6 & 7, 2008): Participants
will meet at Loon Mountain on Saturday, Sept. 6 and will cover 100
miles over 2 days. Beginning at Loon, day one will cover about 60
miles through Franconia and Crawford Notch and will end in North Conway
at the North Conway Grand Hotel. Day three will cover a grueling 38
miles up and over the Kancamagus Pass, just below tree line, then
descend and finish back at Loon Mountain. Please note: This option
does NOT offer on-the-road vehicle support. There will be two aid
stations, every 20 or so miles. The cost for the two day ride
is $200.
1 day Registration (Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008 ONLY):
There is a $100 per person entry fee for this event. Participants
are encouraged to raise additional funds to support Northeast Passage’s
adaptive sports programs. Entry fee includes Three Notch Century t-shirt,
aid stations and post-event meal/party. Registration and online fundraising
