Adaptive Waterski Program-Waterfront & Boat/Driver Search

  • water skiier

For the 2025 summer season, Northeast Passage is looking for new accessible waterfront locations and waterski/wake boat and driver volunteers.

For over 30 years, Northeast Passage has offered an adaptive waterski program for sit-down skiing, stand-up skiing, or tubing in a variety of locations in New England. Currently, our two long-time hosts and boat drivers have moved on and we are looking for new locations and volunteers to expand our programming.

We have been skiing weekly on Tuesday evenings, rotating between Swain’s Lake in Barrington, NH and Lake Attitash in Merrimac, MA for over 20 years. Last summer, we offered:
  • 11 waterski events - 6 at the MA location and 5 at the NH location from mid-June until the last week of August.
  • We hosted two sessions each night - 4:00-6:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM with 3 spots per-session (or less as it starts to get darker earlier). Each skier gets a minimum of two runs.

We have also offered special day long events on weekends. We are open to different program scenarios and levels of commitment.

All programs are facilitated by Northeast Passage’s trained staff and volunteers with years of experience. Northeast Passage provides all equipment including skis, gasoline, PFDs and two personal watercraft that act as safety boats. We just need a boat & skilled driver and a fantastic lake to ski on!  We also hold proper insurance for our activities and equipment.

  • Boat Ramp accessible to launch PWC and watercraft if needed
